I recently tried El Toro Tortilleria Factory and wow… everything was amazing! The tamales were so flavorful, tender, and packed with authentic taste. And the champurrado, OMG it so rich, warm, and delicious! You can really tell everything is made with love and tradition. The service was great, very welcoming and they made you feel you right at home and welcomed. Definitely a new favorite spot! 🌽✨

This is the best meal I have had in Fresno! Delicious carnitas, tamales and guacamole. Fresh ingredients with so much flavor. I had never had agua fresca before and tried the cucumber lime and am so glad I did. Delicous! Friendly staff and fast service. Will definitely be coming back.
The food is delicious and the owner is a friendly person. But on Sunday it's really packed and the employees were slow. But I love their food, big portions and good prices. I recommend the Chile Verde wet burrito my favorite. If you want the menudo I think it's the best in Fresno, you have to go early on Sunday morning.
It was my first time here! As soon as I walked in I was wowed by the way it looked inside. 🙌🙌 The staff were very friendly. The prizes are very fair. David went above and beyond. He was super helpful. It’s hard to come across good customer service and food! I ordered quite a few different things. I’m barely eating my carne asada burrito and it is filled with flavor! Did I mention they also make their own tortillas? Highly recommend. Definitely worth stopping by.
David and his team do an excellent job preparing large portions of food that is colorful, fresh, delicious, and authentic. What is even better than the tasty food is the hospitality and service. Our server was THE BEST (!!!!) and has a bright future in business. We are visiting from Washington State, El Toro was recommended by local friends, and it did not disappoint! We will fly back to Fresno just to eat at El Toro Tortilleria!! My favorite tacos are shrimp and steak and the jalapeños are fire! The ceviche, chips, and drinks were also good. The tortillas is the highlight and they are so good we bought some to bring home. We hope to order them from the website. Thank you!!!

I had not been here in years. It's very different than I remember. The family pack specials are a good deal with meat, rice, beans, salsa and tortillas. Ohh and the tortillas were sooooo good!!!! The guy at the register gave me a fresh one and it practically melted in my mouth, very soft and tasty. He said they were the best in LA and even had orders from Disney for them. The best fresh corn tortillas I've had in town besides homemade. Not as much corn flavor as you usually taste from the packaged ones but very good nonetheless.
The meat, I got carnitas, was good. Diced and chopped perfect for the tacos we made at home. Their corn chips were good and the guac was very good. Bit of a lemon taste but it kept it fresh so was still good. Rice was okay, and beans not bad but the best part was the tortillas. They also sell chicharones, with and without the meat on them. Looked good, I did not take them tho. I wish I could have tried the other meats as well, they all looked really good.

The food was excellent. While in line a gentleman came out and offered us hot corn tortillas, horchata and chips. He had the best customer service. I will be back and so will my coworkers. The tripa tacos were on point and so were the chicharrones.

The menudo is not good. 3 out of 10. The tacos de asada are huge and they are pretty good.
The food was delicious here had the 2tacos rice and beans tortillas off the press with a nopal salad the way I like it and some chicharones and strawberry horchata! It was so good I forgot to take pics!! If you haven't been here try the Lengua and Cabeza were my favorites!!! I will be going back to try their menudo!! My honey got buche and carnitas and he states it was also good and he's a picky eater!! Try this place you won't regret it!! I also bought a whole chicken but we were too full to eat it so tomorrow lunch will be that!! Can't wait!! 10/10

Everything I've had here has been absolutely amazing and delicious! People are friendly. Prices are better than most especially for the quality. My only complaint is on Sundays the food is less than average and made me sad, I'll never go in on a Sunday again. I was wondering why the line was so short that day. Corn tortillas were undercooked that day as well. Buuuuut I'm still giving a 5 because I don't need to go in on a Sunday.

Yes, yes and yes!! Five stars for authenticity. Extremely detailed and thorough with first timers to ensure the best experience possible. Reasonably priced. This is a place I recommend often.

It’s just a little confusing ordering, sometimes they ask for a name sometimes they don’t. Cashier seemed kinda of annoyed I didn’t know I had to pay immediately after ordering but usually they tell me to pay when they have the food ready. 🤷♂️

Not the best tacos and burritos I've had, but their meat and size portions are very good, so worth the money spent. Tried asada, lengua, cabeza, and buche. Also, homemade hot and fresh tortillas are used, so the food has a different taste and texture compared to your regular street tacos or Mexican restaurants. But the tortilla is on point when eaten fresh, warm, soft, and buttery. To me, the buche taco was the star if u enjoy a slimy wet taco. Price is fair for the portions. Also had their barria tacos which were okay. Sauces were ok with the red sauce spice level being around 2 outta 5. Space to dine in is very tight and limited, so it's best to take it to go. Parking is not the best for how busy the place is, but it looks like there was a parking lot across the street. Area is not the best as well (northeast corner of Barton/Tulare). Service could be slow at times, but the place gets busy, and staff are welcoming. If you're lucky, they sometime give samples of their food, including drinks, while waiting in line. Highly recommended if you haven't tried it.

Went in for first time. David in the front was very Professional and told me about the place and how the tortillas were made . He was very courteous and welcoming.

5 stars for the tortillas. The man at the counter gave me a fresh tortilla off line and it was def the best corn tortilla I’ve ever tried. Atmosphere was a 3 because it was hectic in there, and I didn’t know which line to get in as there were two. Service was fast, however. I will try the food and report back. I’ll come back just for the tortillas though

Loved the tacos, no grease used on the tortillas. David was very friendly and kind and shared a story on the ingredients used and also who had ordered from them before. And a free sample of fresh champurrado. It's a must to try it out!

The white corn tortillas were tasty as well. I will say, though, I rate this place an 8/10, whereas the tamale factory in Watsonville blows them out of the water. I could legit drink the spicy sauce, I did, and the burrito was to die for. The meat is almost too juicy, but is that really a downfall, not exactly though it did make my taco a little soggy. It's worth a 2 or 3 hr drive if you have it in you one way.

I can not say enough about the food!! Everything was absolutely delicious! My husband is very picky about Mexican food because his mom is am excellent cook and his parents have owned restaurants in the past. He, too, was blown away by the food. The tortillas are amazing and the carnitas were mouth watering! We live about 45 minutes away and we would definitely make a trip to Fresno just to eat this again. The customer service was outstanding! Bravo!!
Food was delicious, I ordered the quesabirria with a small order of rice, and a horchata. My husband ordered a taco combo plate with asada and lengua; plus a super burrito that was HUGE! I guess that's why it's called a super burrito. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. The staff was friendly and welcoming. While we waited we got to sample some fresh made chips, champurrado, horchata and strawberry horchata. We were more than satisfied with our food and will definitely recommend to friends and family. Needless to say we will be back for more!
Carnitas burrito, bean and cheese burrito and the Chili Relleno combo plate were excellent. Service is excellent. We were provided samples of the fresh corn tortillas which were likemy grandmother, salsa, and chips. The champurrado was just like I remember my Mom's was like.

The most delicious corn tortillas I have ever eaten. I also ordered chicharron, and it was nice and warm & crispy, the flavor was also amazing and fresh to order. The champurado is full of flavor & just the right consistency.I forgot to take photos, but I'm heading back this weekend again.....photos soon to come!

Went today. I ordered dozen flour tortillas. When I got home I found a dozen corn tortillas instead. My advice is if you do not speak Spanish, don't go as staff doesn't apparently understand English. Disappointed..

Right before I went inside this establishment, I fell and hurt my leg pretty bad, it left me a bump. Nonetheless, I was determined to get carnitas and I picked myself up and made my way to El Toro. I haven't been there in 3 years because I moved. As soon as I stepped foot inside, I was greeted with a pleasant atmosphere, cleanliness, and wonderful customer service. The person that helped me was welcoming and friendly and offered me and my daughter samples of their agua frescas. They were the best aguas I had in a loong time. Creamy horchata, flavorful Jamaica, and my daughter loved the agua de fresa. Their prices are great. I got a carnitas family deal. Everything rice, tortillas (which they make there) beans, carnitas, salsas, and guacamole were super delicious!! Me and my family will definitely be coming back!

OK FIRST OF ALL! If you're looking for an unforgettable experience, this Mexican restaurant is an absolute must-visit. Food is out of this world delicious, you will have one of the best asada burrito in your life here at El Toro!! Portions are amazing and super generous especially for the price point! You will get lots of meat in your burrito/tacos/combo plates! I found out about El Toro on Dec 16 when I had them for the first time and they comped our meals because we were in uniform. I then ate there 2 other times before ordering 3 dozens tamales from them on Dec 24 for XMAS!

I Keep trying to find a place that makes authentic tortillas without preservatives and chemicals. These tortillas have all kinds of additives that don't need to be in them. I want tortillas made of flour, water, a little bit of oil or lard and that's it.
If I could give this place 10 stars I would....I absolutely love coming here. The people are friendly and the food is AMAZING.

#1 authentic Mexican food/tacos. The owner was absolutely amazing and catered to my family. He also made us feel welcomed with great customer service. This spot is now my #1 favorite. 💯💯💯
Food is delicious, you don't have to spend lots of money. I got 3 taco plates w two large containers of beans and rice and the total came out to only 60$

Food was not good. I ordered carne asada in my taco and it was cold and had been sitting out and not fresh. Also inside was loud and hot.

It's clean in here and of you don't mind paying for it the food is good but it is on the higher end pricey side. I got food for 4 and it was 69$ and it was take out. The lady serving us our drinks was a bit rude but everyone else were kind. You can also expect at LEAST a 5 minute wait here for your food. We waited 10 minutes on a Saturday.
Set up like a deli with several display cases of hot and cold prepared foods. You’ll see very large chicharrones, baked sweets, chips, ice creams and items on the counter near the register like sauces/salsas. Most of the space inside is taken up by areas to get food ready to sell, cut cheese and make tortillas. There are high and low tables for customers to eat at but pretty tight to get around. Worth giving it a try.
The place was really great all around. Had never been there before. The food was great. The owner was extremely nice and gave us a bunch of samples as we ate there!! Definitely give this place a shot and eat here.

This was my first time.The food was fantastic ,the place was nice and clean .The people that work there are very friendly .Well worth the drive.i live in Madera. We came back today 10-29- 2024 this disproves that the food is delicious.The owner super nice.

My point off view, if you want authentic Mexican food cooked from scratch and almost tastes as good as my cooking come here I'm actually having them cook for my granddaughters Sweet 16 birthday which is going to cost me hundreds of dollars and if I can interest them to cook for 100 plus people believe me they're top-notch and I speak from a lot of years of experience my mother was a professional cook and out of eight girls I took after her when it comes to cooking and if I trust anybody to cook for my granddaughter because I will be there present with her it's this restaurant Amen
Overall a good spot for Mexican food, carne asada tacos were very tasty, I also tried the carnitas and the tamales. The tacos and tamales are loaded with meat, also the tacos are made with the large tortillas 6 in, not the regular 3 in. tortilla. Prices are very reasonable for the large amount of food that you receive. The downside is the parking is limited and tight.

Recommended by a friend, I stopped by today. There was not much parking and a line as I walked in. I was intrigued by the noises of the tortilla machine and the great smell of food. The counter had plenty of food and you can see all the different food offering. Prices seem reasonable: I bought the number 2 and raced home to share with my son. It was awesome! Chicken was moist and hot... so were the rice, beans and the great corn tortillas. The salsa was too hot but good.
The customer service is great. We were greeted immediately and given some background on the business. We were also explained what foods they had to offer and combos. They also offered samples of a tortilla and the Aguas frescas. They were really delicious. We ordered combo #3 which is carnitas. It was very good and worth what I paid. Came with rice, beans, tortillas, and salsa of your choice.
Love the ambiance. It’s a Tortillería and they sell food there. I had the Carnitas Tacos. I ordered three but I was only able to finish 2 because they do put a lot of meat in them. They were good. I do recommend this place.
I like the prices. The buche I bought was so delicious. The carnitas were flavorless and too greasy. The guacamole is so good. The service is great the only problem is the radio and the fans all together are just way too load. It was so hard to hear them. You practically have to yell to answer or ask a question. But again it's affordable and fresh.
